Snow, potentially mixed with rain/freezing rain south of I-74, continues to spread east across the region. I do have sleet falling at my place in Washington. The ongoing forecast looks to be in good shape. The highest accumulations will be near I-80 where 2-4 inches of snow is possible through noon Sunday. Further south a mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain will keep snow accumulations lighter but also lead to a glaze of ice that will make roads slick in spots. Posted 9:55 pm 12/6/25 | M

8:30 am 1/25/26: Good morning, overnight sleet and even some snow mixed in with the freezing rain so roads are bad. Power issues look good right now. Bad news we have a long ways to go still as freezing rain will pick back up today. We expect the threat for any power outages to peak late this afternoon and tonight . We have a very heavy band of moisture to the west that is still heading our way. Temperatures are very cold in mid to upper teens so it is likely we never get above freezing today. S
