Using their mouth and paws, Eurasian harvest mice weave tiny spherical nests out of grass and reeds, which our keepers grow, cut, and dry for the mice to use. Sometimes the mice use these structures as a shelter, but when a female mouse is expecting a litter, she will build a special nest to house her young.
