We filmed this acoustic version of Broken Hallelujah in the Mamertine Prison in Rome. It was where the Apostles Peter and Paul were held captive before they were out to death. This is a place where Peter and Paul witness to their guards and they came to Jesus. A place where they lifted up praise in the midst of total darkness. God was with them then and He is with us now! What is it? ⤵️ On occasion of the Night of the Museums we visited the Mamertine prison. It is located below the church of San Giuseppe dei Falegnami (church of the carpenters) and it is the most ancient prison in Rome! This prison was built by the Roman King Anco Marzio in the 7th century BC (in the video there is a typo, it’s BC) In this prison the Romans kept the traitors and the enemies of Rome before they were executed.
