Reactive abuse is a manipulative relationship dynamic where someone who is being emotionally or psychologically abused eventually reacts to their partner's mistreatment (yelling, crying, lashing out, etc) and their partner then uses that reaction to make them look like the aggressor. This is actually a trauma response to escalation, gaslighting, and emotional abuse. It's a pattern that has to be identified to see where the abuse is actually coming from.
