Today marks the 110th Anniversary of the sinking of #AusNavy submarine HMAS AE2, nicknamed ‘the silent ANZAC’. AE2 and her Commanding Officer, LCDR Henry Stoker made history as the first allied submarine to breach the Dardanelles. Four days later, on the 30th of April, the submarine was lost; the crew were captured and become prisoners of war. Four sailors died in captivity.
