BATH (WGME) -- Authorities say a Bath man is dead after shooting and killing both his wife and daughter. Maine State Police say 66-year-old Michael Bailey is suspected of killing his wife and adult daughter Sunday morning before taking his own life.

A man in Bath, Maine killed his wife, daughter, and then himself, with autopsies pending to determine the exact circumstances.

Jennifer Bailey and her mother Lisa were shot and killed early Sunday morning outside of their home in Bath. A longtime family friend said the two had lived with abuse for years and Lisa had recently filed for divorce.

BATH, Maine — An emergency "shelter in place" was sent out to the city of Bath early yesterday morning. Less than a day later, we have since learned the advisory was issued because a woman and her adult daughter were killed in their home, according to Maine State Police.
