A record number of tornado warnings have been issued throughout Florida as Hurricane Milton approaches the Sunshine State's Gulf Coast. The Category 3 storm is expected to make landfall near the Tampa Bay region sometime Wednesday evening.

Hurricane Milton is progressing toward Florida’s west-central coast, where it is projected to make landfall late Wednesday – bringing high levels of storm surge, wind and rain to a region still reeling from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene a little over a week ago.
