Pearsall had been dealing with a hamstring injury during the team’s OTAs; there doesn't seem to be grave concern here and he can of course be activated at any point during training camp.

The 49ers placed six players on their active/physically unable to perform list Friday, including wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Ricky Pearsall (hamstring). And Jauan Jennings is upset over his contract and will reportedly request a trade if he cannot secure a new deal before the season.

Odum had been placed on the non-football injury list on Friday with a knee injury and now is off the roster entirely before the first training camp practice on Wednesday.

The 49ers are moving on from one of their special teams veterans. San Francisco announced on Saturday that the club has released safety George Odum. Odum, 31, had been with San Francisco since 2022. He appeared in 12 games with two starts last season,
