Gas prices are spiking as the Israel-Iran war hits key energy infrastructure, with Israel now pausing attacks on Iranian gas fields at President Donald Trump’s request.
President Trump’s hopes that an Israeli plan to ignite an internal uprising against Iran’s theocratic government could bring the war to a swift end have so far been dashed.
Iran launched missiles at two southern Israeli cities that lie close to the country's main nuclear research center, while President Trump gave Iran 48 hours to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
