BATH (WGME) - Maine State Police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday morning in Bath. The incident led to an hours long shelter in place order for northern Bath. “Early this morning, in-between six and seven, I heard some screaming and a couple pops,” said Brian Bennett, a Bath resident.

BATH, Maine — An emergency "shelter in place" was sent out to the city of Bath early yesterday morning. Less than a day later, we have since learned the advisory was issued because a woman and her adult daughter were killed in their home, according to Maine State Police.

Bath Police responded to 10 Crawford Drive in Bath for the reports of a shooting. Upon arriving on scene, officers from the Bath and Brunswick Police Departments and Deputies from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office located two adult women suffering from gunshot wounds.
