If Jesper Wallstedt making the opening-night roster wasn’t enough of an endorsement that he’s the Wild’s goaltender of the future, his new contract certainly is. The Wild signed Wallstedt to a two-year, $4.4 million extension that kicks in next season, which is when he’ll figure to have a much more prominent role in the NHL.
