A founding member of a popular ‘90s rock band has died. Original Cake guitarist Greg Brown’s death was announced Saturday by the band “with heavy hearts.” His age and cause of death were not provided,
He founded Cake in 1991 in Sacramento, California along with singer John McCrea, trumpeter Vince DiFiore, drummer Frank French and bass player Shon Meckfessel. The band has released six albums, the last of which was “Showroom of Compassion.”
