The weekend has us getting out of a winter feel by the end. It looks like a pretty nice weekend to get outside and start cleaning up the winter mess.
Thursday is the warmest day of the week, and it comes with a 4Warn Weather Alert due to severe storm potential that could develop this afternoon and taper off in the evening hours.
The southernmost tier of Michigan, stretching from Benton Harbor to Metro Detroit, is considered at slight risk for severe weather.
It's not going to be a robust warm-up for all of Michigan, but the southern half will get into some nice, warm air by Thursday.

Just a glance at the state of Michigan on Monday will reveal what the state already knows: It's no stranger to chaotic weather and the state is getting a giant dose of all of that today.
An additional two inches of snow and sleet, and up to a half an inch of ice are expected with wind gusts as high as 40 mph.
