Zack Wheeler reared back and uncorked a four-seam fastball to Mets left fielder Brandon Nimmo in the first inning on Saturday that just skimmed the top of the strike zone. Nimmo waved at it, but had no chance.

Kyle Schwarber led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run to right field, giving the Phillies a 1-0 lead over the Mets and raising the decibels to almost deafening levels at Citizens Bank Park. It was his MLB record fifth postseason lead-off dinger.

If Zack Wheeler held animus toward Mets officials he felt did not value him properly, those officials are no longer around.
