James Gunn’s new Superman movie hit theaters on Friday, achieving the third-biggest box office opening weekend this year with $125 million. The end credits feature Iggy Pop’s 2006 Teddybears collaboration “Punkrocker,” and now that song’s having a moment. The Godfather of Punk is happy about it.

"For me it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and something we have lost," the film's director told newspaper "The Sunday Times."

The jubilation and excitement of the movie may have fans coming home wanting to dive into every Superman adaptation they can get their hands on, but none will scratch the itch quite like Adult Swim’s animated series My Adventures with Superman.

We spoke to brother-and-sister AJ and Alayna Bernard who are not even 15 and are Savannah-area stars of the recently released "Superman" movie.

Sparrow, a rescue dog from Maury County, appears in the new Superman movie. Her notoriety is helping other rescue pups at Maury County Animal Services to find their forever homes.

It's not available to preorder just yet, but the Superman 5-Film Steelbook Collection releases September 2 and is likely to sell out fast.
