An ABC-7 crew spent the day in Ruidoso to cover the flooding. Our crew spoke to residents who witnessed the worst of the flooding. "It was scary, it was scary," said Lindsey Tharpe, who recorded a video of her neighbor's house floating away behind her backyard along Cedar Creek in Ruidoso.

According to an emergency alert and videos obtained by Action 7 News, flash flooding was ongoing in areas near Ruidoso. Emergency officials say flooding is imminent in Friedenbloom, Ruidoso Downs, and Glencoe.

The Village of Ruidoso said that parts of the area are under a flash flood warning until 7:45 p.m. Sunday evening, July 27. The Village said the National Weather Service has updated its warning to include the Salt Burn Scar.
