With the trade deadline a week away, the Orioles’ prospect rankings on Baseball America and MLB Pipeline got an update.

Slater de Brun, the top-ranked high school outfielder in the 2025 MLB Draft class, secured quite the payday from the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday.

Alex Jackson scored on Gunnar Henderson's two-out single in the seventh inning, providing the decisive run for the visiting Baltimore Orioles in a 4-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. Henderson delivered against Erik Sabrowski as Baltimore avoided a four-game sweep to the surging Guardians.

To honor this year’s National Baseball Hall of Fame induction weekend across MLB, the Orioles will wear retro-style caps.

It seems that former Summit baseball star Slater de Brun will be headed to the pros. On Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles announced that they had signed de Brun, who they drafted in the supplemental first round of the 2025 MLB Draft with the 37th overall pick.

Steven Kwan came through with the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth, and the Guardians beat the Orioles to earn win No. 11 in their last 13 games.

Orioles prospect Coby Mayo has made just four starts in July while Baltimore has tried to win every game it can before the trade deadline.
