TCPalm on MSNNWS warns of 'major heat risk' and 108-degree heat index value across Treasure CoastThe Treasure Coast is under a heat advisory and many areas at “major heat risk” with heat index values expected to reach up to 108 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
A gradual warming trend will begin Sunday, with temperatures initially in the upper 70s to low 80s. By Wednesday, a strong upper-level ridge will push temperatures into the low to mid-90s across most of the state. Humidity will increase substantially, with heat index values potentially reaching or exceeding 100 degrees on Thursday.
The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory in Oklahoma City, warning of heat index values up to 109 degrees and advising precautionary measures.
