For a goalie who wanted to be healthy and reliable this season, Woll has not gotten off to a good start. It's a good thing the Maple Leafs have goaltending depth out the wazoo.

The Toronto Maple Leafs haven’t even played a game yet and already Woll is hurt. It will be Anthony Stolarz starting the opener in Montreal, not Woll, who couldn’t play in Game 7 last spring because of injury and is now dealing with another undisclosed ailment.

Maple Leafs starting goaltender Joseph Woll is battling lower-body tightness and will not be available for the regular-season opener against the Canadiens.
