Demonstrators have taken to the streets across multiple states on Thursday to protest President Donald Trump’s Administration in a day of action honoring the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, with more events planned across the country in the evening.

Three local groups participated in a rally in downtown Columbus Thursday to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and “fight back against attacks on our civil and human rights,” joining hundreds of similar events planned nationwide,

The July 17 protest in Green Bay was intended as a demonstration focused on civil rights. Protesters expressed anger and disgust more broadly.

Organized by the United+ and the Democratic Progressive Caucus, the July 17 protest is one of more than 50 planned for Florida

The North Carolina Democratic Party held a "Good Trouble Rally and Protest" on Thursday evening in downtown Raleigh. The demonstration aims to protest House Bill 958, which would prohibit state and county election officials from publicly encouraging voter turnout.
