Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman exited Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers after being hit by a pitch on his left wrist in the sixth inning. Brewers left-hander Jose Quintana threw an 88 mph sinker that ran inside and hit Freeman square in the wrist as he attempted to hold up a partial swing.
The Brewers picked up their 10th straight win with a 6-5 victory and tied the Chicago Cubs for first place in the NL Central. The Los Angeles Dodgers not only suffered their 10th loss in 12 games, they also saw star first baseman Freddie Freeman exit with a wrist contusion.
