William McNeil Jr., who was pulled out of his car and struck by Florida police officers, has spoken out for the first time since the violent incident.

S ALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) - A Black Salisbury college student is at the center of a viral video of a traffic stop that showed him being punched and pulled out of his car by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office back in February.

Anthony Davis, the Livingstone College president, made a statement supporting William McNeil Jr., a biology major at the Salisbury school.

Video of a Black man being punched and dragged out of his car during a traffic stop in February has now led to an investigation into the officers’ use of force.
