After the New York Islanders sent Pierre Engvall through waivers, Lyle Richardson gathers the speculation on him and the Rangers' negotiations with Igor Shesterkin.

However, Engvall's agent, Claude Lemieux, told The Hockey News that his client will report to Bridgeport after the demotion. Engvall has six years remaining on his seven-year deal worth $3 million annually. Although only $1.85 million of his annual cap hit remains on the Islanders' books, the organization is on the dock for it all.

Pierre Engvall cleared waivers on Monday and was re-assigned to the Islanders’ AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. There are a few different options as to where this ultimately goes for the organization and the 28-year-old entering the second season of a seven-year, $21 million deal and signed to be a top-six forward.
